Plus, there's nothing like the sound of a Triumph Triple Engine. Looking at the stats between the two, the Striple is likely to feel a bit more powerful and torquey than a SV650. It'll also be more expensive to run than the SV. And depending on where you live, genuine parts may be harder to get.
The Street Triple and the 796 Monster are more comparable than the 848 Streetfighter and the Street Triple blows the doors off it ( if it had doors) . The 848 Streetfighter and the Speed Triple R are more toe to toe . And the SPD3R is better IMO . But I love the sound of a Duc . Love it .
The new Street Triple range starts at ÂŁ9,595 for the R, with ÂŁ11,295 for the RS and ÂŁ13,795 for the Moto2 Edition. Bikes are expected to be landing in UK dealerships in Spring 2023. For more information on the new Street Triple range, head to: www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk.
The speed triple 1050 ABSis $12,799. I guess it's not that much more. The Ducati Monster 821 dry weight is 396 lbs. 58.3 inch wheelbase. Seat height 30.9-31.9 inch. The Ducati Monster 821 has 112 hp@9,250rpm and 65.8 ft lbs of torque. The Ducati Monster 1200 dry weight is 401lbs. 59.5 inch wheelbase.
Hi. I disagree that on paper the FZ-07 has less torque. From the official websites, it can be seen that both motorcycles produce 50ft-lbs torque, but the FZ-07 produces that at 6500rpm, whereas the Street Triple at 9750rpm.The Street is a great bike, and so is the Speed. I'm willing to bet the difference between them in 0-60 isn't all that much. If I remember correctly, the Speed Triple is about 3.25 seconds. I'd be amazed if the Street was over 4 seconds.
The Street is such a great bike. Half the four bikes in my garage are Street Triples, one 2014 R and the other an '18 765 RS. Hard to find a better all-around bike for anything but long highway stretches of touring. I'm looking forward to the 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS. It's the only thing with potential to tempt me off my heavily personalized
