Remove the oil fill plug and fit funnel into fill hole. For the DCT you will fill 4.4qt and for the Manual you will fill 4.3qt. The qt size bottle of the Honda oil has delineations of 200mL. 1 qt is 946 mL so you can roughly use the mL numbers to get a closer idea of what .4 and .3 of a qt is.One of the most commonly reported problems with the Honda Africa Twin DCT is overheating. This can occur during long rides or riding in extreme weather conditions. The DCT system generates a lot of heat, and if not managed properly, it can lead to performance issues and even damage the transmission. Tantalizingly, in the United Kingdom Honda is currently offering the DCT-equipped Africa Twin at 0-percent interest. As others have said, Honda has spent time designing an engine including what oil to run in it. Sure, in summer you could run pure 40 weight oil, just make sure it warms up first. And then see what it's like when you ride the bike. Similarly, you can run super low viscosity oil, full synthetic etc. and test that.
DCT Reset Sequence CRF1000L DCT. If your Africa Twin has a manual gearbox… ignore everything below! 1) Warm the engine up to normal operating temperature (Engine oil temp 50-110C / 112-230F) then STOP it. Note: If the large “L” (extremely low oil temp indicator) or small “L” (low oil temp indicator) is displayed on the shift indicatorIt depends. If the cells has been detached by the management system before going too low (let's say around 2V) , then it can be recharged and therefore jump start the bike. If the cells has been completely depleted (Rh1z2.
